I Just Couldn't Wait!

Last week my sister and mother took a week vacation to Florida. As they were traveling, they visited several thrift stores along the way. During the week, I would call to check in and just about every time I phoned, they were thrifting. Boy, was I jealous excited for them! I was back in Texas, working  and wishing I was along for the ride, enjoying the sites and visiting all the great shops. To see some of their bargains, click here.

After seeing all their treasures, I just couldn't wait to get back to my favorite shops. Well, today was the day! As soon as I could, I high tailed it over to my first stop. I found a pretty silver tray and wicker magazine holder. The tray had such a pretty border, I just couldn't resist.

The magazine holder had some issues, but I think I can make it work. Not too sure exactly what I'll do, but I definitely have the books and such to fill it up!

Then I went to another store and found several things...I think the best buy was a Longaberger basket for $0.79! No kidding!

I picked up several other pieces to use here and there... fall candles and candle rings...

 ...gorgeous cardstock...

and another basket as well as a small tray.

I was feeling better.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You got some great finds this week. I love the silver tray. Old silver trays, cream/sugar bowls, etc. have been my new "must find" when I'm out thrifting. It amazes me how the prices can vary from store to store on these pieces. Your crazy buy of the week has to be the Longaberger basket for 79 cents!!! You could probably sell that on ebay and fund some more junkin' trips :-)
