An Outdoor Wedding

What a wonderful time of year to have an outdoor wedding! We attended one last weekend
and it was beautiful. Here are a few shots to share.
Enjoy.

The bride and groom chose an art museum for their day.

The bride was gorgeous, the groom handsome.

{The gazebo was designed and hand made by the groom.}

Rowdy and His Buds

I snapped a few pictures while visiting a ranch this weekend in Llano, Texas.

Rowdy is on the right.

The owner of the ranch told us that these longhorns are only about 2 years old! They weigh about 1000 lbs now and can easily reach 1500 lbs or more! They love coming up to the fence for a treat, I think they were waiting for me to feed them, instead of taking their picture.
Sorry guys.

Thanks so much for visiting, enjoy your day!

Mexico Vacation

Today I'm joing Susan for her Outdoor Wednesday. Be sure to stop by for gorgeous shots!

I wanted to share a few pictures from our vacation to Mexico. These were taken in Progreso and Cozumel.
Enjoy!

I live near Galveston and our water is not like this! Our water is a bit green and murky due to sediment.  Here the water was so blue...clear...gorgeous!

This cactus was sure happy in this container!

This mimosa tree was the brightest shade of coral I had ever seen!

The tropical plants all looked so healthy...

...and happy.

Palm trees just say "paradise" to me!

The beaches were so relaxing...the water cool...the shade welcoming!

The "sand" wasn't really sand at all, it was broken pieces of coral. It wasn't sharp though... you could walk through it barefooted...

...or just sit and have a little between your toes!

And this guy was quite at home on the beach...just chillin'.

Thanks so much for visiting...enjoy your day!

Nature...

It's November 21. Here in Houston, it's a typical fall day. The weather is crisp and cool...only about 68 degrees. The sun is out, warming the earth. It's a lovely day.

To practice with my new camera...I thought I'd look to nature.

This plant is called Hen and Chick...I think the larger is the Hen... the smaller shoot is the chick.

The veins in the leaves are just amazing.

 New growth...

Look at the little circles around the perimeter of the leaves of this fern.

The center of this flower looks like it could just burst!

The detail is just beautiful!

Don't these look like blueberries! They are actually from Indian Hawthornes.

Nature...awesome.
