Happy Spring!

The calendar states that SPRING is officially here!
I love this time of's the warmer weather, the birds, the flowers, the colors...
I could just go on and on
but I won't, I'll just kick off the season with this picture.

These blooms are from my sister's crepe myrtle from last year.
I'm anxiously awaiting their blooms this year!

To celebrate the season,
my  table this week is all about spring
my favorite sister.

You see, she gave me these dishes for my birthday and I'm loving them!

Don't think that they are just green...
there's a gentle lavender,

and tranquil blue.

I love that the plates are different colors, perfect for spring.
Now, just take a look at the cups...

aren't they precious? I love the shape of the rim and saucer,
too cute!

You might have noticed the use of seashells, lace, and silver.
These things are some of my sister's favorites, so they had to be included on this table.
So, to my favorite sister, enjoy!
This table's for you!

A very happy SPRING to everyone!

Warmer Weather?

Our weather has been unusually chilly this year.
Here in the Houston area, we don't handle the cold temps very well,
in fact we actually shut down.
It's happened twice and threatened a third time.
So when the temps climb up to the 60's and 70's,
people are out and about dreaming of spring.

Welcome to my table for this week, is all about
anxiously anticipating spring!

These salad plates are a favorite...

...and the April Cornell napkins add just a little spring-like color.

The stemware are Lenox, Navarre.

Thank you so much for visiting, I have warm wishes for you!

Blue Table

Good Morning!
I'm sharing a simple little table this morning
and as I type, I can smell the coffee!

The "flatware" is from my grandmother.
There are only knives and forks...perfect for our breakfast of Belgium waffles.
The pieces are from 1918, purchased from  Lowke Brother's Hardware.
(I'm guessing it was a general store with all kinds of items.)

These little juice glasses will be perfect for a blueberry smoothie.

The dishes were picked up several years ago, they are Imperial China, "Seville".
It was the pattern of soft blues and browns that stole my heart.

I hope you have a lovely day!
